The Nurpur police yesterday registered a case of forgery against Kanwardeep Singh, chairman, Niraj Malik, executive director, Alchemist Group, and a Chandigarh resident Yash Garg, the chief financial officer of a Singapore-based company Hector Capital, New Delhi, on the complaint of Kuldeep Singh Gill, a resident of Kotli in Pathankot district (Punjab).
As per police report, the accused Kanwardeep Singh and Niraj Malik had negotiated a deal with Gill, chairman, Gagan Reclaimers Private Limited, Tipri in Nurpur, for purchasing his commercial broiler farm and paid some advance money against the property. On September 22, 2005, Niraj Malik had signed an agreement with the complainant and agreed to make full and final payment to the latter. After releasing the advance money the Alchemist Group took possession of the farm.
The complainant alleged that during the past many years, he repeatedly had asked the accused to release the balance payment.
The complainant stated that the accused further conspired to cheat him by selling 60 per cent shares of his company to the Hector Capital.
He alleged that the Hector Capital further leased out the disputed property to Ashish Gupta, the proprietor of Sampoorna Feeds Limited, Phagwara (Punjab), on a monthly rent of Rs 50 lakh. The police have registered a case of the Indian Penal Code.
