MANALI: The upper reaches in Manali received fresh snowfall this morning. Intense cold wave has swept across the area.

Manali, January 5

The upper reaches in Manali received fresh snowfall this morning. Intense cold wave has swept across the area.

The 13,050-ft Rohtang Pass, the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti, Marhi, Gulaba, Bhrighu Slopes, Hamta ski slopes, Beaskund, Dhundhi, Chanderkhani Pass and Pir Panjal ranges also experienced a fresh spell of snowfall.

The Solang valley also witnessed snow. Hundreds of tourists rushed to Solang. They were delighted to see the upper Manali areas covered with snow. The tourists were seen enjoying in the snow and clicking photographs.

Icy winds lashed the entire area throughout the day, bringing down the day and night temperatures.

The people in the tourism industry are and expect a brisk business.
