Solan, May 21

Mangal Pandey, in charge, Himachal, today urged the BJP leaders in the district to gear up for the elections and seek votes on the development policies of the Narendra Modi government.

Pandey was extended a rousing welcome by the BJP leaders, including the MLAs and MP Shimla Virender Kashyap, during his maiden visit to the district today. While addressing the party workers he said a positive wave in favour of the BJP was visible in the state and they would oust the corruption-ridden state government in the polls.

He said development has taken a backseat and the large-scale corruption in Himachal will lead to the ouster of the state government. He urged the workers to work in unison and ensure victory on all five Vidhan Sabha seats of the district. Lauding the developmental policies of the Prime Minister, he said Narendra Modi had extended liberal financial assistance to Himachal but the state government had failed to utilise it.
