Get building map clearance online

In a bid to provide time-bound services to people in the industry, the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) Department Authority has introduced online building map clearance.

The system, initiated yesterday, will enable a person to obtain online building map clearance within 60 days.

Chief Executive Officer Lalit Jain said an applicant would have to apply online on the authority’’s web portal. He said the required papers, including revenue-related dossiers, could be uploaded and initially the option of applying through the hard copy or the soft copy would be available to users.

He said a user could track the status of his case. Officials would complete various formalities such as site visit, scrutiny of papers, filing of a field report within a stipulated time and the clearance would be accorded in 60 days.

He said local architects had been trained to apply through this software so that they could execute the work.

A tie-up had been executed with HDFC Bank for depositing the nominal 0.5 per cent convenience charges. People using debit and credit cards could make use of this facility, he added.
