Girl dies in mishap

KANGRA: A 16-year-old girl died after she fell from the Dahmoyia Nallah Railway bridge in to the nullah on Friday, railway police sources said here.

A 16-year-old girl died after she fell from the Dahmoyia Nallah Railway bridge in to the nullah on Friday, railway police sources said here. 

Yudvir Singh Chauhan, Station House Officer, Kangra railway police station, said  the victim was identified as Simran Kumari, a Class XII student and a resident of Nagrota Surian. She was crossing the Dahmoyia Nullah Railway bridge, located between Nandpur and Guler railway station on the Pathankot-Jogindernagar narrow gauge railway track, when she fell in to the nullah.

Simran Kumari had come to attend a function at ther maternal uncle’s house in the village.  The SHO said Simran died on the spot. He said her postmortem was conducted at the DRPGM College, Tanda, on Friday. — OC
