Students of Him Academy Public School (HAPS) donated Rs 31,712 to the district Red Cross Society here today. They handed over the cheque to the Deputy Commissioner.

Simran, a student, said it was a project assigned by the school to all students and the money earned by them was donated for a noble cause.

Hailing the initiative of the students, Madan Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner, said through such initiatives, a sense of community service was inculcated among the students. He said such initiatives helped in building real humans which was lacking nowadays.

Those who were present on the occasion included Principal of the school CP Lakhanpal and Director, Academics, Himanshu Sharma.
