Handloom workers’ plight highlighted

KULLU: The Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (SCST&E) organised a one-day workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ for the handicraft and handloom cluster at Dev Sadan here today.



Kullu, October 22

The Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (SCST&E) organised a one-day workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ for the handicraft and handloom cluster at Dev Sadan here today.

About 160 participants attended the workshop. Ayurveda and Cooperative Minister Karan Singh was the chief guest.

Former minister and Chairman, Bhuttico, Satya Prakash Thakur was the special guest. Thakur talked about the miserable condition of workers of the handloom and handicraft industry and suggested measures for their improvement. — OC
