UNA: Haroli SDM Dhanvir Thakur today said the three-day Haroli Festival would be organised at Kangar village of Haroli sub-division from April 28 to 30.

Haroli SDM Dhanvir Thakur today said the three-day Haroli Festival would be organised at Kangar village of Haroli sub-division from April 28 to 30.

Thakur, while talking to mediapersons, said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would inaugurate the festival and would be the chief guest for the cultural night on April 28. Local MLA and Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihori would attend the festival on all three days.

The CM would lead a colourful procession to the venue of the festival and would inaugurate exhibitions put up by various departments, local industrial houses and women collectives. Sufi singers Nooran Sisters and Hardy Sandhu would be performing during the first cultural night while Master Saleem and Ali Brothers would perform on the second evening of the fair. Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dhani Ram Shandil will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony whereas Punjabi singer Amrit Maan would be the main attraction on the final day, Thakur added.

Meanwhile, officiating DC Rajesh Kumar Maria has declared April 29 as local holiday in Haroli sub-division in view of the festival. In a notification issued here today, he also declared June 5 as a local holiday in Bangana in view of the state-level Piplu fair to be celebrated in Piplu village on June 5.
