Heli-taxi to Rohtang soon

Manali, June 23

The state government will soon start its heli-taxi to Rohtang Pass with its six-seater helicopter. Officials on Saturday conducted a successful landing on the newly built helipad at Vashisht Bihal near Manali.

The government has built a helipad on the Rohtang Pass and Marhi where the helicopter will land with tourists. The sorties from Manali are likely to start soon.

Manali SDM Raman Gharsangi said the trial sortie was conducted in presence of Vineet Chawdhary, Chief Secretary, Himachal Pradesh.

Gharsangi said the helicopter successfully landed on the newly built helipad near Manali town. — OC
