HUDCO keen to partner with state on housing

SHIMLA: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has offered to partner with the state government in housing and other development projects.

The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has offered to partner with the state government in housing and other development projects.

Jasbeer Singh, regional head, HUDCO, met Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here today. He informed that the HUDCO was providing loan worth Rs 1,809 crore for 187 projects in Himachal.

“We are more than willing to partner with the Himachal Government not just in housing but in all other areas of urban development,” said Jasbeer Singh. Besides housing HUDCO grants loans for drinking water, sewerage schemes, road construction, bus stands, airports and hospitals, he pointed out.

He hoped that Himachal would implement many more projects with assistance from HUDCO to provide best possible living conditions to its people.
