NURPUR, SEPTEMBER 13

The inauguration of under-constructed bus stand by Transport Minister GS Bali on September 11 here was aimed at befooling people.

Addressing a press conference, former local MLA Rakesh Pathania alleged that MLA Ajay Mahajan and Bali had befooled them. No bus had started entering and leaving it.

Pathania said it seemed that the Congress MLA and minister knew that they would lose elections. He said the local MLA was even laying foundation stones of some projects without fund allocation.

He asserted that he, as MLA, had laid the foundation stone of ayurvedic hospital at Suliali during the Dhumal government but the local MLA had again laid the same foundation stone on May 29 last year.

“The Chief Minister had inaugurated this hospital through video-conferencing in July but it is still not functional. Even electricity and other facilities have not arranged,” he claimed.

Pathania said the local MLA had promised water supply to the residents of Nurpur twice a day before the last elections and announced to supply water round the clock after wining the election.

Govt opening incomplete projects: BJP

Shimla: BJP councillors from Kasumpti today accused the state government of inaugurating incomplete projects and said that the Dhalli Kisan Bhawan inaugurated by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh yesterday is incomplete.

The councilors said the foundation stone of the Kisan Bhawan, the brainchild of former horticulture minister Narendra Bragta, was laid by former Chief Minister P K Dhumal, who also allocated Rs 4.5 crores for the project but the Congress government has inaugurated the project without constructing parking.

Even the building is incomplete. Moreover, the road to the Bhawan has not been constructed.

The government is befooling the public before the elections by inaugurating incomplete projects just to take the credit.

Meanwhile, former president of BJP Kasumpti Mandal Rajinder Chauhan accused the local MLA Anirudh Singh of shielding the drug mafia and alleged that the number of cases under the NDPS Act have increased manifold.

Addressing mediapersons here today Chauhan said that the condition of roads in the constituency is pathetic. Several villages lack drinking water facility, no big institution has come in the constituency in the past five years, the only college in the constituency at Koti is being run in a primary school and the villagers, which shifted to Kasumpti constituency from Theog after de-limitation, are being treated as Bangladeshi.
