The district administration Kullu is gearing up to implement the direction of National Green Tribunal (NGT). Deputy Commissioner Kullu Yunus Khan said the directions given by the NGT would be implemented in full spirit. He convened a meeting with officials concerned yesterday.
The NGT had directed the district administration to install CCTV cameras at check-posts on the Manali-Leh National Highway to keep a close vigil over the volume of traffic movement toward Rohtang Pass. Apart from this, the NGT has allowed a few tourism-related activities like snow scooter at appropriate place and asked the district administration to identify proper place.
The Deputy Commissioner asserted that all arrangement would be completed within a few days to implement the order and authority was working in this direction.
