Following the no-objection certificate (NOC) issued by the Gaggal panchayat, land for the first information technology (IT) park in the state has been acquired at Gaggal and thousands of unemployed youths will get job opportunities once this IT park is set up here.
This was stated by local MLA Pawan Kajal while addressing people of Gaggal panchayat during the “MLA at your doorstep” programme here today. He said the state government had already sanctioned a police station for Gaggal to strengthen the law and order machinery here and the land for the police station had been identified.
He said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would lay the foundation stones of both IT park and police station projects soon.
He said work on the Rs 10-cr Manji bridge was in progress near Gaggal.
He said for providing 24x7 water supply to the residents of Gaggal town it would be connected with Rs 18.72-crore Palam Water Supply Scheme and work on this project was in progress.
MLA Pawan Kajal said work on the Tanghall bailey bridge at Matour was in progress. He said the new government degree college at Matour would help the youth of the Gaggal town to have education at their doorstep. He announced eight solar lights and four hand pumps for Ward numbers 2 and 3 of Gaggal panchayat.
