Lecturer booked for sexual harassment

On the complaint of a girl student from Senior Secondary School, Chai Ka Dohra, near Sundernagar, the police have booked a lecturer for sexually harassing a girl student of the school.

DSP Taranjeet Singh said the police had registered a case under Section 354-A of the IPC, read with Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, against the lecture who is stated to be at large after the registration of the case.

“The police have been sent to various places to nab the accused and he will be arrested soon,” he added. — OC
