Legal services authority opens assistance centre

SHIMLA: To provide legal services under one roof, the HP State Legal Services Authority (HPSLSA) has opened a single window establishment for providing legal assistance to poor litigants named Nyaya Sanyog in the office of the HPSLSA.



Shimla, June 21

To provide legal services under one roof, the HP State Legal Services Authority (HPSLSA) has opened a single window establishment for providing legal assistance to poor litigants named Nyaya Sanyog in the office of the HPSLSA. The legal assistance centre was opened by Yashwant Singh Chogal, Member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority.

He said acting Chief Justice Sanjay Karol was supervising the working of the authority and taking all possible steps for providing legal assistance to the poor.

The Nyaya Sanyog would be manned by a retainer lawyer and trained paralegal volunteers and would be assisted by the staff of the State Legal Services Authority. The retainer lawyer and paralegal volunteer will sit from 10 am to 5 pm on all working days. — OC
