Chamba MLA Pawan Nayyar flagged off an electric taxi operated by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) here today. The taxi would ply between the zero point, main bazaar and Government Medical College for the benefit of commuters. Regional manager of HRTC Shugal Singh said the taxi fare had been fixed at Rs 10 per passenger. OC
Gas agency employee booked for fraud
Chamba: An employee of an LPG gas agency has been booked for allegedly misappropriating public funds to the tune of Rs 50.93 lakh at Kilar of Chamba district. A police press note issued here today stated that on the basis of a complaint by Area Manager, HP State Civil Supplies Corporation (HPSCSC), Mandi, a case had been registered under Section 409 of the IPC at Pangi police station. Further investigation in the case is underway. oc
