SUNDERNAGAR: Union Health Minister JP Nadda was given a warm welcome by BJP workers and leaders at Slapper on the border of Mandi and Bilaspur today.

Sundernagar, April 25

Union Health Minister JP Nadda was given a warm welcome by BJP workers and leaders at Slapper on the border of Mandi and Bilaspur today. It was his first visit to the area after he was inducted as Union Health Minister.

Workers headed by Mandi MP Ram Swaroop Sharma, gathered at the Slapper Bridge. Jai Ram Thakur, former BJP minister, and other leaders of Mandi district were also present.

Then the Union Health Minister had a break at the PWD Rest House here where he was given the Guard of Honour by a police contingent. He was also seen interacting with BJP workers of Sundernagar Assembly segment and local party leaders, including Roop Singh Thakur (former BJP minister).

He was also welcomed by workers, headed by BJP MLA Vinod Kumar of Nachan Assembly segment at Dhanotu near here. He announced a grant of Rs 5 cr to be spent on the Mother-Child Health Care unit to be set up at Sundernagar. Afterwards he left for Mandi.
