Nahan medical college students call off agitation

Students of Dr YS Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan, called off their agitation today after the intervention of Additional District Magistrate Harbans Negi.

Taking serious note of boycott of classes by the students, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today directed Harbans Negi to amicably resolve the issue.

Negi said a meeting was convened between representatives of the students’ group and Principal Jaishree Sharma, wherein the latter assured the students that their problems would be addressed at the earliest. 

The students are demanding basic facilities such as adequate toilets, water filters and diet system in the mess. Yesterday, they boycotted classes as a mark of protest.
