Power fluctuation damaged electrical appliances in at least six houses at Palli village in Khatiyar gram panchayat of Fatehupur on Thursday. As per reports, a local resident sustained burn injuries on his left hand and feet while trying to switch off a television as the voltage fluctuated. The victim, Sandeep Kumar, was taken to Civil Hospital at Fatehpur where he was given first aid before being referred to the PGI, Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar, junior engineer, HPSEBL, said the department was inquiring into the reason for sudden voltage fluctuation.
