Power lifting meet begins at Rait

KANGRA:A two-day power lifting and bench press state level competition for the year 2018 started at Rait on Tuesday.

A two-day power lifting and bench press state level competition for the year 2018 started at Rait on Tuesday.

The competition was inaugurated by former Vice Chairman HPFC Kewal Singh Pathania. The power lifting competition is being organized by the Power Lifting Association of Himachal Pradesh.

As many as 89 boys and 11 girls are participating in the competition from all over the state. 

Speaking on the occasion, Pathaina said the association was making efforts to bring the youth close to this sport and to keep them away from drugs, he said adding that the girls of this hill state had also shown interest in this sport which was a good sign.
