Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chamba Harikesh Meena has asked the officials to take action against the owners of those roadside dhabas (eateries) and restaurants, who have not provided the facility of toilets.
The DC was presiding over a meeting of district officers here today. He asked the respective Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil), District Controller (Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs) and District Tourism Development Officer to prepare an action plan in this regard forthwith.
The DC exhorted the District Controller (Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs) to ensure that all filling stations (petrol pumps) have a proper toilet facility.
The DC said the Pathankot-Chamba National Highway starting from Katori Bungalow, the entry point of Chamba district to the district headquarter town of Chamba and the Chamba-Khajjiar-Dalhousie road must have toilets so that passengers and tourists don’t face any inconvenience.
