Rain lashes Kangra valley

KANGRA: It rained heavily in Kangra valley on Wednesday and the Dhauladhars experienced a fresh snowfall bringing down the temperature considerably.

It rained heavily in Kangra valley on Wednesday and the Dhauladhars experienced a fresh snowfall bringing down the temperature considerably.

It turned extremely cold. The sky had been overcast and it began raining in the wee hours with thunder and continued till noon. The rain threw life out of gear and the roads in the town were deserted.

The Met Department predicted rain and snow for Thursday too. Reports of rains were received from Shahpur, Gaggal, Rait, Nagrota Bagwan, Dharamsala, Mallan, Chamunda, Jawalamukhi, Dehra, Ranital and other places.
