Una, October 11
Wall writings with derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi surfaced at two places in Una on Thursday, prompting state BJP president Satpal Singh Satti to point fingers at the Opposition for indulging in mudslinging.
Similar writings against the PM had earlier been reported in Shilai, Nahan and Bilaspur.
In Una, the writings were at the railway bridge and Shailza Vihaar Colony. The BJP and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists registered a protest.
Satti said during the last four-and-a-half years, Modi’s popularity had been gaining strength, making the Opposition perturbed. He said the latter was adopting cheap tactics.
He dared the people, who wrote on the walls, to come forward. “The Lok Sabha elections are approaching and the results will be a slap on the face of those trying to mislead the people of the country by levelling baseless allegaitions against the Prime Minister, Satti added.
Meanwhile, the police have started a probe into the wall writings. DSP (Headquarters) Ashok Verma said the matter was being investigated.
