Una, March 13

Residents of the Baduhi panchayat in Amb subdivision today submitted a memorandum to the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation and Public Health (IPH) Department, complaining of a shortage of water in the area.

They said it was unfortunate that though drinking water schemes for three adjoining panchayats were installed in their area, they were facing an acute shortage of water. Panchayat pradhan Vipin Kumar said they were getting water from a deep borewell installed in Dilwan panchayat. The Superintending Engineer said necessary action would be taken. — OC
