Sports Minister Govind Thakur on Friday said he had given 5 lakh for the wrestling event of Dalip Rana, alias The Great Khali of the World Wrestling Entertainment fame, from his discretionary quota.

Addressing mediapersons here, ahead of the tomorrow’s wrestling show being organised by Khali’s company Continental Wrestling Entertainment, Thakur said the state government would give him land wherever he desired as this would help promote this sport.

Khali, who was also present on the occasion, urged the people to support the show, by being present in large numbers. The event was being organised in the police ground.

Later, he also took out a roadshow and received overwhelming support from the people. Like the Mandi show, entry to this show is also free of cost. Bollywood actor Rakhi Sawant and Haryana dancer Sapna Chawdhary are expected to participate in the show.

Bollywood actor Rakhi Sawant, landed in trouble on her arrival in the town, as the Scorpio car (HR-07-Y-9153) with the Haryana registration number, in which she was travelling, was using an unauthorised hooter.

When confronted by the traffic policemen at Saproon, the driver of the vehicle said that was not aware that the hooter was not allowed in the state.
