School van rolls down hill in Himachal’s Sarkaghat; 1 killed, 12 injured

Mandi, June 21

A school van plunged into a gorge in Mandi’s Sarkaghat on Thursday afternoon, killing one student and wounding 12 others. 

Police said the van belonged to a private school at Dadwar in Sarkaghat area and was ferrying students towards their home after school.

Most of those wounded were students of LKG and KG.

Initial reports said the driver allegedly lost control over the vehicle near Garli.

Five critically injured have been admitted to Zonal hospital in Mandi and others to a local hospital in Sarkaghat.
