SS Narta is HP varsity Registrar

Dr SS Narta, Director, University College of Business Studies, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), today took over the charge of the registrar of the HPU replacing Pankaj Lalit who had been posted as the ADM (Protocol), Shimla district administration.

Narta has earlier served as the head, Department of Commerce. He guided 18 students for Ph.D and 80 students were awarded M Phil degree under his supervision. He has successfully completed seven research projects and is also resource person with the National Academy of Accounts and Audit of Probationers of the All-India Civil Services.

With more than 26 years of teaching and research experience, he has more than 75 research papers and 15 books to his name. He has presented research papers in more than 100 national, international conferences, seminars and acted as resource person and chaired sessions. He is also a member of several academic bodies besides being a member of the selection committees of various universities.

Under his leadership, the University College of Business Studies has been awarded the Asia’s Most Trusted Business School Award and India’s No. 1 Business School 2016 by the Media Research Group, International Brand Consultancy Corporation, USA, at Bangkok in May this year.
