KULLU: A street vendor was killed after being hit by a crane in the Shangri Bagh area of the town yesterday.

A street vendor was killed after being hit by a crane in the Shangri Bagh area of the town yesterday.

According to the police, Sunder Lal (60) of Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh was going on his cart from Akhara to Ramshila when he was hit from the rear by the crane near the Gammon bridge.

The police said crane operator Pradeep Kumar of Sarkaghat village in Mandi district had been arrested and the crane impounded. The police added that the body had been handed over to the victim’s son Akhilesh after a postmortem.
