CM Virbhadra Singh today launched a counter attack on former Union Minister Sukh Ram, who along with his family recently joined the BJP, alleging that Sukh Ram seemed to have lost his memory.
He was reacting to the statement issued by Sukh Ram yesterday in which he had alleged that the money that the CBI seized from his house was planted there by CM Virbhadra Singh.
The CM said earlier, Sukhram had alleged that the senior Congress leader Sita Ram Kesari had planted the money in his house. Now, he was accusing him for the same. “The Congress does not need Sukh Ram bank to keep money. There are many banks in the country to keep money. It seems Sukh Ram has lost his memory and that is why he was making such allegations,” the CM said.
On being asked about uncertainty of the Congress ticket in the nine Assembly constituencies, the CM said the decision on them would be taken soon. About Mankotia filing nomination papers as an independent today, the CM said, “ I congratulate him for filing his papers as an independent.
Fails to accompany Agnihotri for filing papers
Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh failed to accompany Mukesh Agnihotri, Minister of Industries, for filing his nomination papers in Una on Saturday. As per official programme, he was to reach Una at 11 am and accompany Agnihotri for filing his nomination papers. He was to leave for Dharamsala from Una at 1.30 pm. However, sources said The CM’s helicopter could not land in Una, so he flew directly to Dharamsala. Agnihotri waited for about two hours and filed his nomination at 2 pm.
CM’s loyalists turn rebels
Mandi: CM Virbhadra Singh’s loyalists have turned rebels in Lahaul-Spiti. They had been resenting against sitting Congress MLA Ravi Thakur. sources said 60 Congress workers gathered to chalk out the future strategy.
