Three killed in road accidents in Una

UNA: Three persons died and four sustained injuries in three separate road accidents in Una district today.

Three persons died and four sustained injuries in three separate road accidents in Una district today. All incidents occurred in the Amb sub-division.

Ajay Kumar (37), who was riding a two-wheeler, reportedly collided with a Himachal road transport bus in Nandpur village while overtaking another vehicle. He died on the spot.

In the second incident, a car coming from Talwara to Mohali, went off the road and hit against a tree at Chururu village. The occupants of the car were coming from a late night marriage party. Car driver Harjinder Singh (22), a resident of Santa Majra near Chandigarh, died while Manpreet, a resident of Mundian, Ropar, was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, with broken limbs.

In the third incident, a car carrying passengers collided with a truck parked alongside the road near Gagret, in which driver Janak Raj (44), a resident of Kohlwin Badsar in Hamirpur district, died on the spot, while three youth sustained injuries. One of them, Deepak Kumar, has been referred to the PGI, Chandigarh. They were returning from a marriage ceremony.

2 youths die in mishap

Kangra: Two youths died after their motorcycle met with an accident at Kachiari on the Pathankot-Mandi National Highway on Sunday night. The police said the youths have been identified as Sahil (23), a resident of Tangroti, and Sorab (23), a resident of Kholi village. They attended a marriage at Kholi village on Sunday and left at midnight on a motorcycle to Kangra. The bike met with an accident at Kachiari and both died on the spot. OC
