Hundreds of tourists are thronging the 13,050-ft-high Rohtang Pass, the main attraction of every tourist visiting Manali.

The main attraction for tourists is the huge deposits of snow at Rohtang Pass. A festive atmosphere prevailed at various places between Rani Nallah and Rohtang Pass as tourists were seen enjoying the snow and having photo session.

According to officials at Gulaba barrier, 778 petrol and 394 diesel vehicles reached Rohtang Pass today. The tourist vehicles have been allowed up to Rohtang Pass, 51-km from Manali, on the Manali- Leh highway.

The administration has provided basic facilities like parking, eco-friendly toilets and drinking water at the Rohtang Pass. Provision of ambulance with two pharmacists has also been made for immediate medical help to the needy between Marhi to Rohtang Pass. Traffic police has been deployed at many points to ensure smooth moment of tourist vehicles on the Manali- Rohtang Pass road.

Those involved in tourism industry and the allied activities feel that huge deposit of snow in the area will prolong the summer tourist season.

The 51-km long road from Manali to the Rohtang Pass is full of scenic splendors, magnificent views of snow- capped mountains of Pir Panjal and Dhauladar ranges in the north.
