Two killed in Chopal accident

SHIMLA: Two persons were killed on the spot while two others sustained injuries when the car (UA07L-6478) they were travelling in met with an accident and fell into a gorge near the Dayandli nullah, about 3 km from Nerva in Chopal, late last night.

Two persons were killed on the spot while two others sustained injuries when the car (UA07L-6478) they were travelling in met with an accident and fell into a gorge near the Dayandli nullah, about 3 km from Nerva in Chopal, late last night.

The vehicle, carrying four persons, was on its way to Nerva from Dayandli when the tragedy struck around 2 am. The deceased were identified as Het Ram (18), a resident of Kulag village in Kupvi, and Nand Lal (27) from Chafla village in Chopal. The injured Ram Lal and Yashpal were rushed to hospital in Nerva from where Ram Lal, who was critical, was referred to the IGMC, Shimla, police sources said.

The police are investigating the case to know the cause of the accident. This is the second accident in the past 48 hours in Chopal as six persons were killed while two others were injured when a Bolero skided off the road into a gorge near Ranvi village in Chopal on Thursday. — TNS
