A knotty affair

I would go for a love marriage only.

A knotty affair

Independent streak
Jasmin Bhasin

I am not open for an arranged marriage because I have always been a very independent girl. Before getting married, I want to know the person and his family. I have grown up believing that if you do something, do it all the way and not quit. Its better you take that decision once you know everything and once you are hundred per cent sure. I have seen arranged marriage breaking too. A relationship is built on four pillars - trust, loyalty, understanding, and respect. Once these pillars are strong, nothing would happen. But if these are weak, the marriage won’t work.

Love first
Mohammad Nazim

I would go for a love marriage only. It is very important for a person to know their partner before deciding to spend their whole life together because marriage is a gamble. There is lot of responsibility involved too. It is true that industry marriages are breaking, but that’s only because people are not sure about what they want from each other. Marriage also involves families and can’t happen without family’s approval.

Truly arranged
Shashank Vyas

I am open to arranged marriage, although I’m not sure whether marriages are made in heaven or not. If you find love, that’s fine. Otherwise, fall in love post marriage. I do believe in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Tum Nahi Samjhogi’ type of romance. It is true that marriages are breaking in the industry due to compatibility issues, so I don’t want to marry a girl from the same profession.

Time together
Ssharad Malhotra

I am open to an arranged marriage too, but I surely want to spend some quality time before I decide. I have an individuality, which my girl needs to understand. Love or arranged marriage, there has to be compatibility. Arranged marriages break less because one knows that one has to adjust. But in case of love marriage, both partners are very demanding.

Career first
Laksh Lalwani

I am too young to even think of marriage. Ideally, I will mostly go for an arranged marriage since my parents’ consent is important. There is no time for love, as I am too focused on my career. Relationships in the TV industry are breaking because of compatibility issues. The lifestyle of an actor is not as simple as it looks. One has to be prepared for marriage before taking the plunge.

Big decision
Asmita Sood

I don’t think I would be open to an arranged marriage because I strongly believe that it is one of the life’s biggest decisions to take. Also, I would take the time to know and understand the person with whom I decide to spend my life. My belief in love marriages still stays strong, even though we hear sad events of break-ups and divorces. I believe that it’s up to us to save or destroy marriages.
