Rishina to play begum

Rishina Kandhari has recently bagged the role of a begum in a show called Akbar Rakt Se Takt Taak. “My last show was Diya Aur Baati Hum, where I was playing a police officer. In this show, I am playing Hamida, Humayun’s wife and later Akbar’s mother. She was a dignified lady and after the death of her husband, she took over the reins of the Mughal dynasty,” she said.

“My costumes are totally opposite of what I wore in my last show; our stylist has given me a gorgeous-looking Mughal lehenga and blouse with beautiful work along with lovely jewellery. After my make-up, I feel like a real queen.”
