Risqué Scenes!

Follow your heart: Ridheema Tiwari

I feel actors should follow their heart. Having no inhibitions in life gives an actor a larger playground to experiment with. I don’t think it’s about money. Actors make good money on TV. Being a TV personality doesn’t mean one restricts oneself. But then again, it’s a personal choice, right?

No harm, if story demands so: Ankit Bathla

I think we should not forget that acting is a portrayal of a character. The beauty of our profession is that we can get in and out of the skin of any character. So, if the character and story demands,I don’t see any harm in it.

Calling it ‘sexually explicit’ content not right: Karan Wahi

Kissing and other stuff has been given too much importance of late. We, as Indians, have a habit of talking about it more when we see Indian actors doing it. What about people who do it in the West? I feel calling it sexually explicit is a wrong word.

Meant for a different audience: Shravan Reddy

Every medium has a different audience. But as artists, we always have the urge to connect with diverse audience. Short films are mostly made for a film festival audience, or young audience, whose sensibilities are different.

Storyline kept in mind for different viewers: Rishina Kandhari

TV is a very safe medium for actors. Also, it is family oriented and we have to keep it very subtle so that people of all ages can watch. These days, intimate hugs and kisses are being seen in daily soaps as well. But they are well within their limits. Whereas, in web series and short films on internet or in cinema, the content is kept in mind for a different kind of audience who likes to watch bold subjects.

Cinema has no boundaries: Ramman Handa

Cinema has no boundaries these days and the audience has become intelligent. Whatever we show has to be relevant. Nothing can be forced. When an actor goes nude, or does some sexually explicit scene, it’s script’s demand and part of work.

An individual’s choice: Mrunal Jain

I am also producing a web series, but it doesn’t have any sexually explicit content. Internet is catering to a wide range of audience across the world. As an actor, I will never go full Monty, as I am just not comfortable with the idea. It’s an individual’s choice.

Part of our profession: Ankit Gera

It’s not always about money. Sometimes an actor wants to do something different. It’s just a character or a role you play; there’s nothing that is real in it. It’s a part of our profession. But some people in our country take it personally at times, which is also not their fault.
