Online fraud victim’s Rs 1.5L recovered

The Cyber Investigation Unit, Rajouri, has successfully recovered Rs 1,50,000 of a victim who was defrauded online. The unit is a dedicated wing to deal with cases of online frauds and cybercrime.

After a complaint of cyber fraud was received by the unit in Rajouri, it started an investigation.

“Through diligent investigative efforts of the unit in coordination with financial institutions, swift action was taken into the fraudulent activities and the money was recovered,” an official said.

The official said the unit remained committed and vigilant in efforts to prevent and combat financial crimes, working tirelessly to safeguard the interests and financial security of citizens.
