‘Once Upon a Time in Amritsar’ dwells on quest for life’s larger meaning

A gripping Punjabi thriller ‘Once Upon a Time in Amritsar’ is all set to release on June 10. The movie is a tale of a person who strives hard to find his purpose in life.

The film is directed by Harjit Ricky and lead role is played by Punjabi singer Dilpreet Dhillon. 

The story of the movie is about a young lad (Dilpreet Dhillon) who sets out to Amritsar, the holy abode of Sikhs, in search for the ulterior motive of his life and asks the Almighty to direct him towards the fulfilment of that motive. After seeking the blessings of the Almighty at the Golden temple, just as Dilpreet along with his family is about to return home, fate rolls the dice and Dilpreet’s life undergoes a twist. The movie encompasses his struggle to grasp the larger essence of this twist of destiny.

Talking to the media persons, Pawan Malhotra, actor said, “Every human strives to understand his purpose in life. While a few lucky ones are able to clearly comprehend their role on this earth, the rest of us always strive to find our path. Have you ever imagined what would it would be like if your quest for your achieving eternal goal took you on a path that sets life spiralling in action? That is a kind of plot that the movie has.” Apart from Dilpreet, other stars in the movie are  Gurjind Mann, Tanvi Nagi, Sonia Kaur, Pawan Malhotra, Ashish Duggal, Prince Kanwaljeet Singh, BN Sharma, Dolly Minhas, Shivinder Mahal and many other prominent actors of Punjabi Cinema.
