Out of the total 1,830 polling stations in the district, 441 stations are vulnerable as per a study conducted by the Jalandhar Administration.

The study says that the Jalandhar Cantonment has the most vulnerable stations in the district (70 out of 204), whereas Jalandhar (West) has the least vulnerable polling stations (38 out of 158).

The survey was conducted on the directions of the Election Commissioner. As per the outcome of the questionnaire and intelligence information, the survey report was concluded.

In order to avert any unpleasant incident and to conduct free, fair and fearless election, the administration would take extra precautions in the vulnerable polling stations.

Extra paramilitary forces will be used in these stations, whereas flying squads will also make frequent patrolling in these stations. CCTV cameras will also be used.

Election Tehsildar Raj Kumar Tangri said a survey was conducted in collaboration with returning officers, ACPs and DSPs in all constituencies.
