Kapurthala, October 18
Army personnel of the 38 Infantry Brigade of Kapurthala Military Station, along with their families, visited orphanages and old-age homes, as a part of “Golden Arrow Robinhood Outreach Programme”.
The families visited Sukhjit Hostel, Arya Samaj Trust and Ganga Nirmala Kusth Ashram, and met orphan children, differently challenged persons, and people suffering from leprosy.
They distributed clothes, blankets, food items and sports kits among them.
Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Army School also participated in the programme. Brig MRKR Panicker, Station Commander, Kapurthala Military Station, said: “Leprosy was a non-contagious disease and we must support people suffering from it.”
