HOSHIARPUR: Ayurveda should be adopted in letter and spirit because it is not only a mode of treatment, but also a holistic way of life.

Ayurveda should be adopted in letter and spirit because it is not only a mode of treatment, but also a holistic way of life.This was stated by MLA Sunder Sham Arora here today while addressing the state-level ayurveda convention to celebrate Lord Dhanvantry’s birth anniversary. Arora urged vaidyas to stick to the system of medicine as propounded by Lord Dhanvantri. He said by following the true ayurvedic spirit, not only they could treat the patients but also serve the society by preventing diseases. Deputy Commissioner Vipul Ujwal said Ayurveda was not just about curing diseases, but also about working on the overall wellness of an individual. Pawan Adia, MLA praised Vaidyas and their role in well-being of society. The MLAs promised to raise the demand of ayurveda practitioners to get them enlisted by seeking the help of the Health Minister.Vaidya mandal president Vaidya Ravikant Khaulia and Chairman Vaidya Vinod Kuymar Sharma apprised the MLAs of the problems of Vaidyas and presented a memorandum in this regard to them. A souvenir published by the Vaidya Mandal was released. An exhibition of herbs was also organised.
