JALANDHAR: The BSP candidate from Kartarpur, Balwinder Kumar (38), filed his nomination paper today to the Returning Officer Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa.

The BSP candidate from Kartarpur, Balwinder Kumar (38), filed his nomination paper today to the Returning Officer Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa. His wife Manjit Kumar filed her nomination as the covering candidate.

In the affidavit he has showed his total assets of Rs 2,49,008.57 that include cash, bank deposits and gold. His wife declared her total assets of Rs 2,20,000, including cash, FDR and gold. Apart from this, his daughter has gold chain worth Rs 60,000.

As one of the most educated candidates in the region, Balwinder has declared his educational qualification as having an engineering diploma, MA in English, and MA in journalism from Panjab University. — TNS
