Jalandhar: Protesting the 10-day-old firing incident that took place in Phagwarain which a Dalit youth was injured, workers of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) staged agitations at all district headquarters in the state on Monday.
They also submitted memorandums to officials of their respective district administrations. The memorandums were addressed to the Governor in which they demanded that FIRs lodged against members of the Dalit community for the April 13 clash be cancelled. They also demanded that the real culprits involved in the firing be arrested at the earliest. —TNS
