Jalandhar: The staff members of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya distributed sweet water to public outside the college on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi under the guidance of principal Dr Ajay Sareen.



Jalandhar: The staff members of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya distributed sweet water to public outside the college on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi under the guidance of principal Dr Ajay Sareen. Neeru Bharti Sharma, Minakshi Duggal and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.  Among non-teaching staff members, office superintendent Amarjit Khanna, superintendent accounts Pankaj Jyoti, superintendent hostel Lakhwinder Singh, Ravi Kumar, Rajiv Bhatia and other staff members were present. Results declared

Jalandhar: The students of BA Psychology (honours) semester III of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya bagged first four positions in the Guru Nanak Dev University. Yogita got 1st position with 84 marks, Manpreet and Pallavi got 2nd position with 83 marks. Manpreet Kaur got 3rd position with 81 marks and Jasleen got 4th position with 78 marks. Ajay Sareen congratulated the students and Head of Psychology Department Dr Ashmeen Kaur. TNS

Visit of teacher trainees

Jalandhar: Ramgarhia College of Education, Phagwara, organised a one-day educational-cum-environmental visit to Seechewal village and Sultanpur Lodhi for the in-service teacher trainees pursuing DEl.Ed under the National Institute of Open Schooling. During the visit the teacher trainees got a chance to meet widely popular Padmashri Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal who has multiple achievements to his credit in the fields of environmental conservation and social reform in the Punjab. Teacher trainees had a long interactive session with Sant Seechewal. He exhorted them to take initiatives to spread awareness about environment. He also told them about problems encountered by him during the cleanliness project of holy Kali Bein. Students witnessed nurseries established by Sant Seechewal and learnt about the functioning of Avtar Community Radio. They also observed the working of indigenously modeled Sewage treatment plant  at Seechewal. Later, the teacher trainees paid obeisance at historical Gurdwara Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi. The visit ended with a brief halt at Kali Bein. TNS
