JALANDHAR: The Pendu Mazdoor Union today alleged that the landlord community of Fateh Jalal village in the Kartarpur assembly constituency had drained filthy domestic waste water towards the locality of a labour community where labourers were struggling for their rights in the panchayat land.

The Pendu Mazdoor Union today alleged that the landlord community of Fateh Jalal village in the Kartarpur assembly constituency had drained filthy domestic waste water towards the locality of a labour community where labourers were struggling for their rights in the panchayat land. They said they had already lost a child to the water-borne disease last year, yet the administration had failed to take any action.

They said before the Assembly elections in the state, a village assembly was held where a resolution was passed to provide 5-marla plots to labourers to build their houses, yet the administration had failed get that implemented. — TNS
