Chairman of Punjab Gau Sewa Commission Kimti Bhagat today appealed to Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to continue the power connection to nearly 472 cow shelters in the state.

He said former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had announced to give free power to all cow shelters for which the state exchequer had to bear an additional burden of Rs 4.57 lakh. “Now I have been informed that many gaushalas had started getting power bills, failing the payment of which their connections were being snapped,” he alleged. The Commisson has asked Capt Amarinder Singh to intervene and demand the continuation of the scheme for gaushalas in the state.
