DAV College wins trophy at Doaba Sci-Fiesta

JALANDHAR: DAV College Jalandhar bagged overall trophy at Doaba Sci-Fiesta 2018 organised on the theme - “Science and Technology for Evolving India” at Doaba College here yesterday.

DAV College Jalandhar bagged overall trophy at Doaba Sci-Fiesta 2018 organised on the theme - “Science and Technology for Evolving India” at Doaba College here yesterday. More than 50 students of BSc Medical, BCA and students of zoology and botany departments participated from the district.

Various competitions under different themes were conducted which includes poster presentation, quiz , model , idea factory, rangoli, painting , sciencetoon , photography , gastro fest and dance items related to science and technology “to identity and nurtures future scientists and technologists and to disseminate knowledge and information on the latest developments in science and technology”, said Principal Dr Naresh Dhiman, Doaba College.

.Students of the DAV College won - Overall Best Model Making Award ( Divya Suppal and Shreya Marwaha of B. Sc. Medical Sem VI ), Best Innovative Scientific Food Preparation award ( Smily Kalra of B. Sc. Medical Sem VI), Scietoon overall best (Anukriti), Best innovative dance (Anukriti), Science quiz ( Harshita, Leena and Prashant), Appreciation award in Model presentation ( Muskan of B.Sc. Medical Sem IV ).

During the event, students came across various recent and beneficial sciences related technologies, said Dr SK Arora, Principal, DAV College.
