Accusing the state government of not fulfilling their demands, members of the Punjab State Suwidha Employee’s Union staged a protest in front of the district administrative complex here on Saturday.
Ravinder Ravi, state president of the union, said due to the government’s decision to shut down suwidha centres and sewa kendras, 1,100 employees lost their jobs.
“The present government promised us to bring us back before coming to the power, but nothing has been done yet,” said the president.
The employees said the public was not getting proper government facilities from sewa kendras.
