Festival of lights celebrated

Jalandhar: Eklavya School, Jalandhar, celebrated Diwali on its campus.



Jalandhar: Eklavya School, Jalandhar, celebrated Diwali on its campus. Students made different types of candles, diyas and pooja thalis, decorated with ribbons, sparkles, beads, shells, stars, mirrors and glitters. A rangoli competition for the middle school was also organised on the occasion, wherein students made various designs of rangoli ranging from geometrical to floral patterns.  Chairperson JK Gupta, offered his warm wishes to the students and urged them to celebrate green Diwali. Director, Seema Handa, appreciated the creativity displayed by the students in the form of rangoli and diyas. Principal Dimpal Sharma said this Diwali would bring peace and prosperity in everybody’s life. TNS 

Inter-house competitions 

Jalandhar: Shiv Jyoti Public School conducted inter-house competitions for students of Class I to V on its premises under the patronage of managing committee and guidance of Principal Dr Ravi Sata. The competitions included diya and candle decoration for Class I, piggy bank decoration for Class II, card-making for Class III and Class V, collage-making for Class IV. Suman Bhandari, Rajni Malik, Suman Khanna and Kiran were the judges of the competition. Bhumika Kochhar, Mehal Kaur, Ananya Kakar, Amuljot, Viransh Jain, Srishti, Akaaljot, Sehaj and Gaurav secured the first position. The second position was bagged by Bhavya, Ragini Seth, Khushi, Kanahiya Sharma, Pragya, Jasmine, Adamya, Pranshi and Kritika. Arpita Sachdeva, Dristi, Mansirat Kaur, Arnan, Prachi, Ansh Kochher, Lavanya Sharma, Manya and Vani Dhir got the third position. Consolation prizes were won by Arnav, Neev Puri, Tvisha, Saurav, Yashika and Avantika. Principal Dr Ravi Suta distributed the prizes among the winners and activity co-coordinators Sarita Kapoor and Veenu Aggarwal. TNS
