Festive spirit at college

PHAGWARA: Various activities were held on the campus of Kamla Nehru College for Women to mark Diwali on Wednesday.

Various activities were held on the campus of Kamla Nehru College for Women to mark Diwali on Wednesday.

The Department of Cosmetology organised a three- day skincare workshop from October 16 to 18. Earlier, members of Join Hands Club of the college visited an NGO, Goonj, Jalandhar, and gave away clothes, sweets and blankets to the NGO.

Students of the college led by incharges Purnima Bhogal and Dr Pratibha Paliwal visited the NGO.

An exhibition-cum-sale was organised by the Department of Fine Arts on Wednesday.

At the exhibition, the products made by the students of the department, including diyas, candles and wind chimes were displayed.

Members of Central Association of the college took a written pledge from the college faculty and students to celebrate a pollution-free Diwali. Principal Dr Kiran Walia asked students to celebrate a pollution-free Diwali.— OC
