Fruit, milk given to players under Tandarust Mission

JALANDHAR: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rajiv Verma on Monday said sporting activities would get a major boost during the ongoing “Tandarust Punjab Mission” launched by the state government.

Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rajiv Verma on Monday said sporting activities would get a major boost during the ongoing “Tandarust Punjab Mission” launched by the state government.

Addressing the budding players after distributing fruits and milk to them during the practice session here on Monday under the mission, the Sub Divisional Magistrate said under the mission the state government was committed to give a major boost to sports and games.

Lauding the players, he said the sportspersons were blessed with several qualities and one of them was that they develop a team spirit during the game, which could help them to excel in their lives. The Sub Divisional Magistrate said during the competitions the players exhibit remarkable cooperation and harmony to defeat their rival team.
